...co-developed with Maserati. Maserati has a 404bhp twin-turbo V6. What would it take to put 2 and 2 together, create an excellent baby Maserati and greater economies of scale for the 4C?

Have I hallucinated that being announced already? Maybe it just sounds so right that it's giving me deja vu.
What I'm really hoping is that they can achieve the economies of scale necessary to launch another car based on the tub between the new MX-5/Spyder and the 4C. I don't think their current supplier can handle it, but if they can bring the cost down enough to sell a £30k carbon-tubbed sportscar, it would be even more awesome than a new Maserati.
Also, what are we calling the Alfa/Mazda cross? The Alfda? The Mazfa? Amalfzdaa might be a bit of a mouthful, and also sounds like some kind of medication. Does Mazda Romeo work?

I think you're right on the first part. Maybe it has been announced, or maybe it's been speculated in the press.
A £30k carbon-tubbed sports car would be unbelievable. If they could pull it off it'd be a game-changer.
I like the sound of the Mazda Romeo MX-Spider. Can't wait to see how that turns out as well.
I wonder if it'll get the all-alloy 1750 TBi engine from the 4C or the cast iron block version from the Giulietta...
